Florida Chamber of Commerce poll puts Republicans ahead
A new poll released by the Florida Chamber of Commerce shows Rubio and Scott ahead


A new poll released by the Florida Chamber of Commerce shows Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott leading Democrat Alex Sink 46% to 42%, and U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio with a seven-point lead over Independent Charlie Crist and 24-point lead over Democrat Kendrick Meek. The poll was conducted on September 27-30, with 800 likely voters. It also shows Pam Bondi leading Dan Gelber, 38% to 26%, in the contest for Florida Attorney General, Jeff Atwater leading Loranne Ausley 38% to 24% for Chief Financial Officer, and Adam Putnam leading Scott Mattox , 36% to 28% for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Commissioner. The poll also gauged voters’ interest in the upcoming elections. It found that 60 percent of registered Republicans rated their interest a “10” on a “1-10” scale, while only 49 percent of registered Democrats rated their interest a “10.”
