Ecuador Asks for Information
President Rafael Correa confirmed that Ecuador will reestablish relations with Colombia when it submits information requested regarding the March 2008 military attack

The president of Ecuador said today that relations with Colombia will only be restored when that nation turns over information requested regarding the March 2008 military attack which precipitated the breaking off of relations between both countries. "We will reestablish relations with Colombia when they turn over the information we have requested," the leader said after Chancellor Ricardo Patino recognized difficulties to rapprochement due to Bogota choosing to reserve information on the bombing which occured on Ecuadoran territory.
