Gloria Rebeca Guevara will assume the post Rodolfo Elizondo is vacating

Gloria Rebeca Guevara Manzo was named Secretary of Tourism, after President Felipe Calderon accepted the resignation of Rodolfo Elizondo. Guevara, 43, was the general director of Sabre Travel Network Mexico, a top tourism firm and she becomes the fourth woman to assume the leadership of the Tourism department, which had been on the brink of disappearing some months ago. Elizondo had held the post since Vicente Fox's six years in power, his resignation coming a week after he said he would not resign.
