President Garcia asked that pardon for Jose Enrique Crousillat be reviewed

President Alan Garcia announced that he will ask that the medical certificates be examined which allowed for the humantarian pardon of television business owner Jose Enrique Crousillat. Garcia added that he acted on good faith when he gave the pardon. However, faced with evidence that Crousillat, who was jailed for selling the America Television editorial position, was not ill, the leader said he felt mocked and surprised. Finally, the president indicated that he has no commitments, nor a nearness to the former businessman. Earlier, and despite statements made by one of the highest officials, the chairman of the Ministry of Justice's Pardons for Humanitarian Reasons Commission, Miguel Facundo, rejected those statements this morning and defended the reasons for the pardon.
