Progress Toward Normalization of Relations
Ecuador asked the OAS and the Carter Center to arrange a working group meeting for normalizing relations with Colombia to be held in late March or early April

Ecuador's chancellor, Ricardo Patino, said he asked the OAS to coordinate with the Carter Center to arrange a meeting with the commission working on the complete normalization of relations between Ecuador and Colombia. "We have asked them to act as intermediaries to prepare" the meeting, and that "they try to do so before the end of the month, and if that's not possible, for it to happen during the first days of April," the official added, indicating that the meeting could be held in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.), where the Carter Center is headquartered. The minister made the request on Tues., in Washington, during a meeting of finance ministers of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
