Asian Nations Look to Mexico
Various Chinese, Indian and Korean assembly companies review bringing operations to Mexico to supply America
Chinese, Indian, and Korean automotive companies are seriously considering operations in Mexico which would entail an investment of $400 million. The aim for these companies is to assemble their products in Mexico in order to supply the American market, according to Lorenza Martinez, Undersecretary of Industry and Trade and Secretary of the Economy. Among the interested firms are India's Tata Motors. The states where the plants would be installed would be Puebla, Queretaro and Hidalgo.
