Goldman Sachs CEO Says ‘I’m Sorry’
The head of Goldman Sachs apologized Wednesday morning for the role his company played in rattling the entire financial world

The head of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein, apologized Wednesday morning for the role his financial services company played in pulling down Wall Street and rattling the entire world. At a conference in New York, Blankfein said that Goldman had made mistakes, and that it was sorry. This statement comes a little more than a week after Blankfein drew fire for saying that Goldman Sachs was "doing God's work". To date, Goldman Sachs has bounced back from the financial crisis and has earmarked $16.71 billion as compensation. In June of 2009, Goldman Sachs repaid $10 billion of capital infusion it got from the U.S. government in 2008
