Congressman Mario Isea said that President Álvaro Uribe knows about the paramilitary conspiracy against Chavez

Congressman Mario Isea said that Colombian paramilitaries are part of a plan to conspire against President Hugo Chávez, and denouncing this as a "silent declaration of war against Venezuela”, adding that Colombia's president, Álvaro Uribe, is aware of this situation. According to Isea, the former governor of Zulia, Manuel Rosales, is behind this plan; Rosales is currently exiled in Peru. Moreover, according to the official, the current governor of Tachira, Viva Cesar Perez, has also been involved with some Colombian paramilitaries. On the subject of the spies, he reiterated what President Hugo Chávez had said, that they "were caught with their hands in the cookie jar" but he did not specify their identities even as he did say that they will be judged by Venezuelan law.
