Venezuela Won’t Respond to Colombia’s Offer
The neighboring country’s government has yet to respond to the Colombian authorities’ offer to collaborate with investigations into the slaughter of eight Colombians in the state of Tachira

Commander of the Armed Forces, General Freddy Padilla de Leon, said that on instructions from the President of the Republic, Venezuela was offered full cooperation to fully clarify the killing of eight Colombians in the neighboring country, but due to the Venezuelan authorities’ refusal, this exchange was not possible. "There have been all sorts of institutional offers for collaboration. As of yet this has not occurred because there has been no opportunity for them to accept," said the General. Padilla also referred to the alleged presence of DAS investigators in Venezuela, saying that there are very clear orders not to mobilize agents to that country and stated that any action should be authorized by both countries’ authorities.
