Meeting between Ecuador and Colombia’s Foreign Ministers Still Stands
National Government confirms that there is political will to build a dialogue with Colombia

Foreign Minister Fander Falconi, confirmed today the suspension of tomorrow’s scheduled meeting in Ibarra among Ecuadoran and Colombian governmental delegates, but clarified that there has been no notice of suspension regarding the Nov. 3 scheduled appointment with the Colombian foreign minister. Regarding the meeting with Colombian Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez, the official said: “We’ve had no official notification, or otherwise, of a suspension. I just wanted to reaffirm that from the national government’s position, there is a political will to build a dialogue with Colombia.”
