President Uribe Receives Call from U.S. Counterpart
According to a White House report, the U.S. leader thanked Uribe for congratulating him on winning the Nobel Prize and repeated his commitment to the region

The U.S. president, Barack Obama, called the presidents of Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica to repeat his commitment to address the region's concerns together. According to an official White House report, Obama thanked Alvaro Uribe of Colombia, Felipe Calderon of Mexico and Oscar Arias of Costa Rica for their congratulatory calls to him after being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Fri. "The President reaffirmed his commitment to continuing efforts to work in partnership to promote greater economic and social inclusion, dismantle illicit drug trafficking organizations, and confront other key challenges facing the people of the Americas today," the document said.
