Mauricio Macri says Argentina has wasted many opportunities
At the Americas Conference being held in Miami at the legendary Biltmore Hotel, Mauricio Macri said Argentina squandered most of its opportunities, especially during recent years in terms of production and exports. For the head of the government of Buenos Aires, the examples to follow are Brazil and Chile. Macri told those present that his work will be concentrated on "trying to reverse two decades of neglect and lack of investment." The capital's powerful politician said that just by increasing food and mineral production and by exploiting tourism, the equation can be changed and all of Argentina's poverty problems would be banished. "That, we do need, a foreseeable country, with solid institutions and inserted in world markets," Macri said.
