Carlos Gonzalez Nova, 92, founder and honorary chairman of the Comercial Mexicana retail chain, died. The company, which is presently undergoing a financial restructuring to address $2.5 billion in debt, began operations in 1930 with a textile products store. In 1962, it took its first step in the business of self-service establishments. Today, Comercial Mexicana, which has operated Price Costco establishments since 1991, is the number three retail chain in Mexico.
